7. Irfan Pathan

Irfan Pathan was a key bowler for India in the maiden T20 World Cup. In the final against Pakistan, Irfan’s bowling efforts helped India snatch the game from the Men in Green by five runs. In his four-over spell, he grabbed the prized scalps of Shoaib Malik and Shahid Afridi with his disciplined fast bowling and became the Player of the Match.
The speedster recorded exceptional numbers at the end of the competition, picking up 10 wickets in seven matches at a thrifty economy of 6.77. From 2007 to 2012, Irfan featured in three installments of the T20I tournament and took 16 wickets in 15 matches at a fine economy of 7.46.
