2018 (Captain — Rohit Sharma)

Earlier in 2018, India once again lifted the trophy under Rohit Sharma’s captaincy. The team remained unbeaten throughout the competition, with their only hiccup being a thrilling tie against Afghanistan. In the final, India edged out Bangladesh in a tense contest, winning by three wickets to secure yet another Asia Cup crown.
Shikhar Dhawan played a starring role as the tournament’s leading run-scorer with 342 runs, including two centuries, which also earned him the Player of the Tournament award. Kuldeep Yadav was once again instrumental with the ball, finishing as the leading wicket-taker with 10 scalps.
