Akeal Hosein is the frontline spin bowler in the Caribbean line-up and is expected to offer a challenge to India's power-packed batting unit, which includes Abhishek Sharma, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and Ishan Kishan at the top. Hosein has the experience of playing on the Indian soil, especially with his stint for the West Indies in the T20 World Cup followed by the Indian Premier League 2026, where he played for the Chennai Super Kings.

His ability to mix the pace and bring variations into the picture makes him considerably spicy bowling option for the visitors in the T20I series opener. Furthermore, the pitch at the Ekana surface is also on the slower side, which should also provide an added assistance to Hosein. It will be interesting to see how the left-arm spinner's four overs fare on Tuesday.
