T-Series announced a biopic based on the life of former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh, whose journey is filled with remarkable highs and extraordinary resilience. From becoming a teenage prodigy to playing starring roles in India's triumphs at the 2007 T20 World Cup and the 2011 ODI World Cup, the film is expected to showcase several unforgettable chapters of his career.
Fans can also expect the iconic moment when Yuvraj smashed six sixes in an over against Stuart Broad during the inaugural T20 World Cup to feature prominently. However, the film will go beyond cricket. It will also highlight Yuvraj's battle with cancer in 2011, his successful recovery, and his inspiring return to international cricket in 2012. His fight against the disease remains one of the most emotional stories in Indian sport.
While the makers are yet to announce the lead actor officially, reports suggest that Siddhant Chaturvedi is among the frontrunners to portray the legendary all-rounder. Chaturvedi made his acting debut with Inside Edge: a cricket-based web series, where he played the role of a young fast bowler Prashant Kanaujia, which portrays that he might be able to play the legendary India all-rounder on the big screen.
