Top 5 players who failed to justify their price tags in IPL 2026
Teams spent massive fortunes on big-name stars, expecting them to win matches single-handedly.
4. Arshdeep Singh (Punjab Kings)
The left-arm pacer from Punjab remains one of the most effective T20 bowlers for India but had a poor IPL 2026 when compared to the standards he has set for himself. He was acquired by PBKS for a massive price of INR 18.00 crore during the auction.
He started his season slowly and picked up the pace later. The left-arm pacer managed to pick up just 14 wickets this season, as compared to 21 in IPL 2025. He also leaked runs with an economy rate of 10.21. His poor form was one of the main reasons for PBKS’ horrific run in the second half of the tournament.
