The 2026 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) concluded on Sunday, May 31, with the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) retaining the coveted title.
1. Most sixes by a batter in an IPL season
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi broke Chris Gayle's record for the most sixes in an IPL season. The Caribbean batter had hit 59 sixes in IPL 2012. However, the Bihar batter bettered that record with consummate ease.
Sooryavanshi finished with a whopping 72 sixes in 16 innings. The next best on the list in IPL 2026 was Abhishek Sharma, who hit 29 fewer sixes.
