Who could be the next Fab 4 in International cricket?
Virat Kohli, Steve Smith, Joe Root, and Kane Williamson have been mesmerising the cricket fraternity with their greatness. However, stars of the future have also been unearthed in recent times.
Harry Brook (England)
Harry Brook is a technically compact batter, who is very pleasing to the eye. He has shots all around the ground and it is very difficult to contain him when he is in full flow. The 26-year-old recently took charge as England's white-ball captain, replacing Jos Buttler after England's early exit in the Champions Trophy 2025.
Brook was rated very highly even before he made his debut for England in 2022. After 25 Tests, 29 ODIs, and 47 T20Is, many experts have backed him to establish himself as one of the finest batters produced by the European nation.
The Keighley-born has produced his best performances in the red-ball format. He has amassed 2339 runs at an average of 58.48. Brook's game aligns with England's ultra-aggressive Bazball approach in Test cricket, and his strike rate of 88.91 accentuates the same. He has a highest Test score of 317, which he scored against Pakistan in Multan off just 322 balls. While he averages 36.42 and 29.10 in ODIs and T20Is, respectively, the added responsibility that comes with captaincy might just help him unlock his true potential in white-ball cricket.
