MI invested a hefty amount of INR 3.2 crore in Nat Sciver-Brunt in the 2023 WPL auction. So far, she has justified her amount with her superb all-round performance. Racking up 187 runs and seven wickets in six matches, the MI stalwart has played an essential role in making her team the top side in the league stage.

In the first game of the WPL, she destroyed GG with her remarkable bowling (2.0-0-5-2).  After a few days, she confronted the same rivals, and this time again, she was too hot to handle for GG. Batting first, after losing the toss, MI put up 162/8 on the board with the batting efforts of Harmanpreet Kaur (51 runs off 30 deliveries), Yastika Bhatia (44 runs off 37 deliveries), and Sciver (36 runs off 31 deliveries).

Defending the average total, MI gave the ball to Sciver to open the innings and she delivered her best and removed Sophia Dunkley from the crease on the first delivery of the GG innings. Following Dunkley’s scalp, chaos ensued in GG and all the batters started going back to the pavilion without showing any fighting spirit. In the end, MI bagged a victory by 55 runs. Sciver ended her four-over spell with 3/21 figures and incredibly impacted the match.
