The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is set to host the mega auction for the 2026 Womenβs Premier League (WPL) in New Delhi on November 27, 2025. This will be the first time a mega auction will be taking place in WPL history.
A total of 277 players β 194 Indians and 83 overseas β have been listed and will be competing for the 73 slots. Each squad can fill a maximum of 18 players. The maximum number of overseas players involved is set as 6. Since this particular auction will be a mega auction, franchises will be allowed to use the Right to Match (RTM) card to re-acquire a released player.
The mega auction is set to be an entertaining one, with different franchises holding varying amounts of money in their purse. UP Warriorz have the biggest purse, with INR 14.5 crore available, while Delhi Capitals have the smallest with only INR 5.7 crore in their kitty.
The five-team tournament is set to take place from February 11 to March 7 next year. The exact fixture list is yet to be released, and is expected to be released soon. Mumbai Indians are the defending champions, having won two of the previous three iterations.

- Retentions & Pre-signings: Maximum of 5 per team (MI-5, DC-5, RCB-4, GG-2, UPW-1)
