Australia will miss the services of their explosive opener, Travis Head, in the fourth T20I against India, which is set to be played at the Carrara Oval in Queensland on Thursday, November 6. The series is intriguingly poised at 1-1 after the first three matches, and both teams will look to get their noses in front with a game to spare.

Toss Update

Mitchell Marsh won the toss and opted to field first on Thursday. He opined that bowling first will give his team the chance to assess the surface. Meanwhile, Suryakumar Yadav said that he is happy to bat first as he feels that the track has a subcontinental look to it and could slow down in the second innings.

India stick with same XI, Glenn Maxwell comes in for Australia

India made three changes in the playing XI in the third T20I, but for this game, they decided to stick to the winning combination. On the other hand, Australia made four changes. Travis Head and Sean Abbott have been released from the side to help them play Sheffield Shield games. Also, Mitchell Owen and Matt Kuhnemann have been left out. Josh Philippe, Glenn Maxwell, Ben Dwarshuis, and Adam Zampa have been brought into the side.

AUS vs IND, 4th T20I — What did the captains say?

Mitchell Marsh, Australia Captain

We are going to bowl first. We don't play a lot here. It is great to be here, will try to get as much information about the surface as we can. It is great, five-match series going down to the last two games, both teams will be pumped. We have four changes - Zampa, Maxwell, Philippe and Dwarshuis come in for four other guys.

Suryakumar Yadav, India Captain

This is what you play bilaterals for, you challenge yourself and it is a beautiful stadium, everything to play for. The preparation has been good. We had a day off, had a good practice session yesterday, looks like a subcontinent wicket, later on it might get slower so we are happy to bat first. We were looking to bat first. Looks similar to Indian conditions, put runs on the board and we want to take up that challenge. We are going with the same team.
