BAN vs PAK 2025: Pakistan name 15-member squad for T20I series, Salman Ali Agha to lead
All the three games will be played in Mirpur.
Salman Ali Agha will lead the 15-member squad of Pakistan for their upcoming three-match T20I series against Bangladesh.
Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, and Shaheen Shah Afridi are amongst the prominent absentees in the sqaud. Naseem Shah and Mohammad Wasim Jr. are yet to recover fully from their respective injuries. Haris Rauf had to miss out due to a recent injury he picked up while playing Major League Cricket (MLC) 2025.
The 28-year-old right-arm medium pacer Ahmed Daniyal earned his maiden international call-up after impressive performance in Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025. Faheem Ashraf and Fakhar Zaman, who were a part of the setup for the recent T20I series against Bangladesh at home, have also been named in the squad. Mohammad Nawaz, who last played a T20I in January 2024, has returned.
Pakistan dominated the three-match home T20I series against Bangladesh in May-June earlier this year. Wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Haris was adjudged as the Player of the Series for his 179-run tally in three games, with his runs coming at a scintillating strike rate of 201.12.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh are currently involved in an all-format series against Sri Lanka in the island nation. After the ongoing third ODI of the series, they will play three T20Is before returning back home for the Pakistan series.All the three T20Is will be played at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur. The series is scheduled to get underway on Sunday, July 20.
