Punjab Kings co-owner Preity Zinta took to X to celebrate PBKS' five-wicket win in IPL 2025 Qualifier 2 against Mumbai Indians at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Zinta was at the venue and was elated after PBKS got over the line in a tense run-chase.

She posted PBKS' X post on her feed with a caption: "Wow what a win. Punjabi aa gaye oye." Zinta has previously attended only one IPL final up until now, PBKS' (then KXIP) first against Kolkata Knight Riders in 2014 in Bengaluru, which had ended in heartbreak for the George Bailey-led side.

Speaking of Qualifier 2, Shreyas Iyer's masterfully paced unbeaten 41-ball 87 led his side to a memorable win against the five-time winners. His power-packed innings comprised five fours and eight sixes. PBKS were set a 204-run target by MI.

Kyle Jamieson (1/30 in four overs) and Nehal Wadhera (48 off 29) were the other standout performers for PBKS. PBKS ended up topping the league phase with 19 points in the bag in 14 fixtures, with a net run rate of +0.372.

PBKS will take on Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the same venue as Qualifier 2 on Tuesday, June 3. Both sides would be desperate to put on a good show when it matters the most and win their first silverware after 18 seasons.
