Bengaluru stampede: RCB release official statement following multiple deaths and injuries
RCB has announced financial support for the family of the deceased fans.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) opened up on the unfortunate stampede incident that occurred outside the M Chinnaswamy Stadium during the victory celebrations following the Bengaluru-based franchise's maiden win in the IPL (Indian Premier League) after beating Punjab Kings by six runs in the final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on June 3.
RCB took to social media and released a statement regarding the same. In their social media handles, RCB claimed that it was unfortunate to witness the stampede incident, which has led to the obvious loss of lives and pain to the fans. RCB announced financial support of INR 10 lakh to the families of those who lost their loved ones.
"The unfortunate incident in Bengaluru yesterday has caused a lot of anguish and pain to the RCB family. As a mark of respect and a gesture of solidarity, RCB has announced financial support of INR 10 lakh to each of the eleven families of the deceased," the IPL franchise released their statement on their official 'X' handle.

RCB Cares is also created to support fans injured in tragic incident: IPL franchise's statement
Royal Challengers Bengaluru also confirmed that they have created 'RCB Cares', which is a fundraiser to gather monetary funds to help those who were injured in the incident. Bengaluru stuck to their claim that the fans are an integral part of their family and remain at the heart of everything they do. The popular IPL franchise spread the message of unity to the fans in tough times.
"In addition, a fund called RCB Cares is also being created to support fans injured in this tragic incident. Our fans will always remain at the heart of everything that we do. We remain united in grief," added RCB in their official statement on social media handles.
As per the reports, 11 people lost their lives in the unfortunate stampede incident that took place on June 4, 2025, a day after RCB beat PBKS in the IPL 2025 final. Additionally, 33 people were admitted to hospital, having suffered various injuries due to the incident.
