Sony Entertainment Television’s Family Full House with Rohit Sharma brings audiences closer to the Indian cricket captain’s life beyond the field, with candid conversations, light-hearted banter and entertaining revelations. In a recent episode, Krushna Abhishek turns the tables on Rohit Sharma, asking him a series of fun questions about his personal life and fellow cricketers, leading to some unexpected answers and hilarious moments.

During the conversation, Krushna tells Rohit that while the latter has been asking everyone questions, the guests are equally curious to know more about him. He says, “Rohit sir, humse itne saare sawaal pooch rahe hain, hum jawaab bhi de rahe hain, lekin hum log bhi Rohit sir ke itne bade fan hain ki hum bhi Rohit sir ke baare mein kuch cheezein jaanana chahte hain.”

Krushna then asks Rohit about the most memorable gift he received at his wedding. Responding with a heartfelt yet witty answer, Rohit shares, “Mere sasur ne di thi, meri biwi ka haath.” Impressed by his response, Krushna exclaims, “Isse achha jawaab nahi ho sakta. Bahut achha jawaab diya aapne.”

When Krushna asks if he remembers any other special gift, Rohit humorously turns the conversation towards his friends, saying, “Mere saare dost itne kanjoos hain, aise hi aage shaadi mein.” His remark leaves everyone laughing, as he adds that despite earning so much, cricketers can be quite stingy with gifts. When Krushna asks who the most kanjoos cricketer is, Rohit playfully responds, “Arey bhai, abhi maat bulao ye sab,” choosing not to name anyone and adding to the fun banter.

The conversation then takes an entertaining turn as Krushna challenges Rohit to imagine what some of his fellow cricketers would have been if they had not pursued cricket, based on their personalities.

When asked about Jasprit Bumrah, Rohit calls him a doctor, explaining, “Bumrah, I think, hote doctor, kyunki poore desh ko aage aake bachate hain yaar. Last-last mein aake ball daalte hain, team ko bachate hain. Matlab, bahut kam log karte hain. Isliye hum cricket mein bhi bolte hain, death overs mein doctors log hi death se bachate hain.”

Moving on to former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh, Rohit gives him the title of a headmaster, recalling how he would discipline younger players while also making them feel comfortable.

“Yuvraj Singh ko main bolunga headmaster, kyunki unki ye aadat thi. Abhi nahi hai, lekin jab hum nayi-nayi team mein aaye the, 2006 ya 2007 mein, toh woh bahut daantte the young bachchon ko. Bahut pyaar bhi karte the," said Rohit.

Rohit further opens up about how Yuvraj helped him settle into the team during his early days.

“Jaise mere pehle-doosre tour ke baad, mujhe unhone bahut comfortable kiya tha, kyunki, you know, kabhi-kabhi hota hai ki aap itne bade senior ke saath khel rahe ho, toh hamesha se thoda sa darr rehta hai, initially. Toh us darr ko actually inhone thoda-thoda kam kiya. Time laga, lekin kam hua.”

When Krushna brings up Rishabh Pant, Rohit immediately calls him a ‘babysitter’, revealing the cricketer’s fondness for spending time with children during long international tours.

“Babysitter, kyunki unko bachchon ke saath khelna kaafi pasand hai. Kyunki hum aksar lambe tour pe jaate the, do-do dhai-dhai mahine ke tour hote the. Toh main hamesha dekhta tha, hamari practice ke baad Rishabh aa jaate hain, bachchon ke saath khelte hain, kyunki hum saare logon ki families aur bachche saath mein travel karte the.”

Adding a humorous twist to the story, Rohit reveals that Pant would sometimes even eat from the children’s plates, leaving them annoyed.

“Halaanki, kabhi-kabhi bachchon ki hi plate se khaana kha jaate the aur bachche kaafi naraaz hote the, but pyaar se karte the. Toh unko famous naam diya bhi hai. Australia mein jab hum khel rahe the, toh unke jo captain the, Tim Paine, us time pe unhone Rishabh ko babysitter kehkar bulaya tha. Woh hamesha bachchon mein kaafi famous hain.”

From revealing the most memorable gift from his wedding to sharing amusing insights into the personalities of his teammates, Rohit Sharma’s conversation with Krushna Abhishek offers audiences a glimpse into the lighter side of the cricketer’s life. The candid exchange highlights the camaraderie among Indian cricketers and the fun memories they share away from the cricket field.
