Indian women’s cricket vice-captain Smriti Mandhana and filmmaker Palaash Muchhal were expected to tie the knot on November 23 in Sangli, Maharashtra, a wedding eagerly awaited by fans and widely followed across social media. However, the celebrations came to an unexpected halt after both families announced that the ceremony had been postponed due to health-related reasons.

Soon after the announcement, fans observed that Mandhana had removed all wedding-related posts from her Instagram account, including images from the engagement and the proposal. This led to a wave of speculation online, with discussions intensifying when an anonymous Reddit post alleged that two wedding choreographers from the Bosco group, Nandika Dwivedi and Gulnaaz, who had been hired to prepare the couple’s dance performances, were connected to the situation.

The claims were completely unverified, yet they spread rapidly, resulting in both choreographers facing extreme online scrutiny as their names began trending across platforms. Amid the growing rumours and social media pressure, Gulnaaz finally addressed the speculation. In a statement shared through her Instagram handle, Gulnaaz firmly refuted all allegations, calling the rumours baseless and urging people not to malign individuals without facts.

“I’ve been noticing a lot of speculation and false claims going around about me and my friend Nandika, so I want to make it clear that we are not the people involved in this issue. Just because we know someone socially or have a photo with them doesn’t mean we are connected to their personal matters. Please let’s keep things respectful and not jump to conclusions. We appreciate your understanding and support,” Gulnaaz wrote on her Instagram story.

Her response came at a time when social media continued to spiral with countless theories around the wedding being postponed. Dwivedi has not issued any statement so far and has made her social media profile private, further fuelling curiosity. Meanwhile, neither Mandhana nor Muchhal, nor any members or representatives from their families, have addressed the controversy or explained the reason behind the deleted posts.

According to sources close to both families and individuals involved in the wedding arrangements, the ceremony was deferred due to a medical emergency. Beyond this confirmation, both sides have chosen to remain silent. As fans and public seek clarity on what actually surfaced, the situation remains under the clouds. The only verified fact at this stage is that none of the rumours circulating across social media platforms have been officially confirmed by those involved.
