As team India continues it's impressive run in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024, former coach Ravi Shastri has offered some advice that could be the key to their success. With the Men in Blue dominating their group and making a strong start in the Super Eight stage, Shastri's suggestions come at a crucial time.
India topped their group with victories against Ireland, Pakistan, and the USA. They've carried this momentum into the Super Eight stage, outplaying Afghanistan in their first game.
As they prepare to face Bangladesh in their second Super Eight match, the team's performance has been strengthened by Jasprit Bumrah's exceptional bowling, claiming eight wickets in five games. Shastri's million-dollar advice to Team India is simple yet powerful.
"Not think of that trophy, play one match at a time and go out and play fearless cricket. If you reach the final, whatever happens there, happens there. One match at a time," he told ICC.

He is the most important bowler: Ravi Shastri heaps praises on Jasprit Bumrah
Shastri particularly praised Bumrah, calling him the best bowler across all formats in the world. Bumrah's recent career-best T20I performance against Afghanistan, taking three wickets for just seven runs in four overs, shows his crucial role in the team.
"He is the most important bowler, because his ability to take wickets, to read situations, and the pitches don't matter to him. He's got the variety, he got the new ball for the first time (against Afghanistan), because Mohammed Siraj wasn't playing, and immediately, second ball, a slower ball to get Gurbaz out. It shows that he thinks very quickly and adapts to conditions," Shastri added.

He went on to say that, in addition to his skills, Bumrah is a very intelligent bowler who can read and deceive the batter.
"He saw in the previous over from Arshdeep Singh, the batsman was given the charge, and he immediately varied the pace and got his man, so he's a terrific competitor and that's why he's probably the best across all formats of the game, that's not easy. He's skillful, he has all the tools in the business, but the ability to read a batsman and adapt to the conditions," he concluded.
