India’s vice-captain Rishabh Pant was among the many high-profile names who attended the iconic Wimbledon Championships on Monday, July 7. A day after featuring in the second Test of the ongoing India vs England series at Edgbaston, Pant made a stylish appearance at the All England Club in London.

Pant, who has been one of India's best performers in the Test series so far, took time off between matches to witness a tennis game on Centre Court. Wimbledon’s official Instagram handle welcomed the southpaw. “Welcome to #Wimbledon, @rishabpant”

The 27-year-old has had a stellar run in the first two Tests, scoring centuries in both innings of the first Test and following it up with 25 and 65 in the Edgbaston Test. With 342 runs across four innings at an average of 85.50, Pant played a big role in helping India level the series after the loss in the first Test.

Virat, Root, among other cricket personalities spotted at Wimbledon

Notably, Pant wasn’t the only cricketer spotted at Wimbledon. Former India captain Virat Kohli, accompanied by wife Anushka Sharma, was seen enjoying the Round of 16 clash between Novak Djokovic and Alex de Minaur. Kohli, who recently retired from Test cricket, posted an Instagram story lauding Djokovic. “What a match. It was business as usual for the gladiator.” Following this, the Tennis legend replied, thanking the cricketer for his support, “Thank you for supporting.”

Also present at the Centre Court were England's Joe Root and James Anderson. Root, England’s top run-scorer in Test cricket, was seen shaking hands with Swiss legend Roger Federer, while Anderson was seated a few rows behind in the Royal Box. Legendary West Indies batter Brian Lara and other sports personalities like footballer Chris Kamara and swimmer Mark Foster were also in attendance. Wimbledon wished MS Dhoni on his 44th birthday, sharing a throwback picture of him at Centre Court.

Coming back to the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy, both England and India are set to lock horns in the third Test at the iconic Lord's Cricket Ground in London, starting on 10th July.
