In the earlier home clash between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Punjab Kings (PBKS), RCB suffered a heavy defeat on their own turf. The match, shortened to 14 overs per side due to rain, saw PBKS dominate and walk away with a crucial win, earning 10 points and climbing up the points table.

Following their victory, the PBKS social media team took a cheeky dig at RCB's star player, Virat Kohli, by mocking a dance move he had originally performed for a promotional campaign. PBKS fans and cheerleaders recreated the hook step and posted it across their platforms, by enjoying their victory.

In today's reverse fixture in Chandigarh, the home ground of PBKS, and the tables turned. RCB put in a commanding performance to defeat PBKS comfortably on their own turf.

RCB's official social media account used this opportunity and posted the same iconic dance move, referencing Kohli’s original performance. Now, RCB got 10 points after the fifth victory and moved to the third in the points table.

Story behind kohlis celebration. So basically they mocked kohlis dance in the video and kohli gave it back . Even in 2021 a similar thing happened they tweeted sab shanti shanti hai and when RCB defeated and knocked them out in UAE leg , kohli said " aaj kitni shaanti hai"😭😭

In the high-stakes clash between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Punjab Kings (PBKS), RCB skipper Rajat Patidar won the toss and opted to bowl first, aiming to avenge their earlier defeat.

The RCB bowlers delivered on that intent, keeping the PBKS batters in check and not allowing them to score freely throughout the innings. For PBKS, Prabhsimran Singh was the lone bright spot with a quickfire 33 off 17 balls, but the rest of the batting lineup failed to build on the start.

RCB’s bowling attack was led by Krunal Pandya and Suyash Sharma, both of whom picked up two wickets each, controlling PBKS's momentum. In response, RCB’s chase was anchored by former skipper Virat Kohli, who played a composed knock of 73 off 54 balls. He was well supported by Devdutt Padikkal, who smashed a fluent 61 off just 35 balls. Their partnership of 103 runs in 69 balls ensured a comfortable chase, as RCB secured a seven-wicket win.

With this victory, RCB earned two crucial points, moving up to third place on the points table, while PBKS slipped to fourth. Virat Kohli was deservedly named the Player of the Match for his match-winning innings.
