Delhi Capitals' spinner Minnu Mani elaborated on how the bowlers stuck to the roles to pull off the valiant win against the in-form Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Match 15 of WPL 2026. The Capitals won by seven wickets and 26 deliveries to spare after restricting the opposition to only 109 in 20 overs.

Speaking at the post-match press conference, Minnu spoke that the Capitals made full advantage of the "slow and low" pitch, hitting the correct spots.

"We were very clear with our plans going into the game because we knew the wicket here would be slow and low. As a bowling unit, we focused on hitting the right lengths and not trying to do too much. Everyone stuck to their roles, and the way we executed our plans collectively made a big difference," stated Minnu, as quoted in a press release by the Capitals.

She also explained that bowlers must be patient when bowling on such type of tracks. She also commented on the role of the spinners and was happy with the effort.

"On pitches like this, patience becomes very important. You cannot expect wickets straight away, but if you keep things tight and force batters to take risks, chances will come. As spinners, our job was to control the middle overs, mix up pace and make it difficult to score freely, and I think we did that really well today," she added.

Minnu registered figures of 2/18 in three overs. Coming in to bowl in the 10th over of the innings, she picked up the crucial wickets of Smriti Mandhana and Richa Ghosh to limit the flow of runs. The off-spinner conceded only one six and no fours in her spell.
