Former India captain Virat Kohli acknowledged the team’s effort after their impressive win at The Oval on August 4, 2025, which helped them draw the five-match Test series 2-2. The performance was seen as a strong statement, especially with India bouncing back in the final Test, largely thanks to Mohammed Siraj’s outstanding bowling display.

Kohli appreciated the resilience shown by the pace attack, particularly highlighting the contributions of Siraj and Prasidh Krishna. There was a special mention of Siraj’s unwavering commitment across the series, as he finished as the highest wicket-taker with 23 dismissals, a performance that played a pivotal role in India’s successful comeback.

“Great win by team india. Resilience and determination from Siraj and Prasidh has given us this phenomenal victory. Special mention to Siraj who will put everything on the line for the team. Extremely happy for him,” wrote Kohli on X.

“To be honest, it feels amazing. From Day 1 everyone fought hard, and the result is there to see. Very happy. The plan was to keep it simple and hit a consistent spot. Not try too much and if I can get wickets from there it's a bonus and build pressure. When I woke up today I had the belief that I could do it, I had the belief system. I took a photo from Google which read I can do it and put it as my wallpaper,” Siraj said after the game.
