Face reader reveals reason behind Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma’s divorce

Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and dancer-influencer Dhanashree Verma have officially parted ways in 2025 after nearly four years of marriage. While both parties have publicly given a statement, their divorce has triggered immense media attention, from court appearances to new dating speculations.

The two filed for divorce by mutual consent on February 5, 2025, after reportedly living apart since June 2022. The Bombay High Court fast-tracked the process, waiving the mandatory six-month cooling-off period, given that the couple had been separated for over two and a half years. Chahal had paid INR 4.35 crore out of the INR 4.75 crore agreed upon as alimony. The final hearing took place on March 20, just before Chahal's IPL 2025 assignments with Punjab Kings began.

During the court appearance, the leg spinner was seen wearing a black T-shirt that read, “Be your own sugar daddy”. The message went viral on social media, with many claiming that it was a subtle dig. However, recently renowned face reader Ekta Desai shared her insights on the couple’s separation during a podcast appearance. Desai revealed Chahal's ego as the reason for the couple's split.

"The reason why they broke up is because of Yuzvendra Chahal. He is not a cheater, but they had ego clashes between them. Dhanashree is a very emotional woman. I can see it on her nose and her eyes. Her nose bends and curves at the tip of. If they didn't have so many ego clashes, Dhanashree would have proved to be a very lucky girl for Chahal. I am saying that if they reunite as a couple once again, they will form a very good couple. The chances are very low. But it will be very good," Ekta Desai told on supertalks.co podcast.

Meanwhile, journalist Vickey Lalwani provided a different reason, pointing out that lifestyle differences led to the separation. Reportedly, Dhanashree wanted to relocate to Mumbai, while Chahal insisted on staying with his parents in Haryana. Their opposing choices led to major conflicts, ultimately pushing them toward separation.

Meanwhile, the cricketer's personal life continues to be in the headlines. Notably, he is rumoured to be in a relationship with RJ Mahvash since the duo were spotted at the Champions Trophy final in Dubai, and later, when Mahvash was seen cheering for the spinner during IPL from the stands. 

Though they haven’t officially confirmed their relationship, their social media posts with similar backdrops have fueled speculation. Both have often come out in support of each other's work and also featured in an advertisement together.  "It is also possible that Chahal might be with some other girl in his life right now," Desai added.

Notably, RJ Mahvash defended herself against online trolls claiming Chahal made her career. In an Instagram reel, she pointed out her achievements since 2019, displaying her work with Bollywood stars and her involvement in cricket events, including interactions with legends like MS Dhoni and Chris Gayle. Currently, Chahal is in England to represent Northamptonshire in county cricket.
