22-year-old Yash Dhull has emphasized the necessity of not thinking too much about the future. He also admitted that he has been enjoying the process and not stressing on any other stuff other than his present.

Dhull, who is coming off a 51-ball 105 for Central Delhi Kings in the current instalment of the Delhi Premier League, admitted that he has previously made the mistake of thinking too much about the past and future. Dhull attributed his enhanced performances in the recent past to the experience gained while practicing with the red ball at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru.

"It is very important for me to stay in the present because I have made this mistake earlier. I used to think more about the future, I used to think about the past. It is very simple, stay in your present, grab the opportunity and everyone's destiny, touchwood, is written. I am enjoying this moment and not thinking about things ahead, stated Dhull, as quoted by India Today.

"I am thinking about how I can grab the opportunity that I have If you think too much about the future, you can't play well in the present. I am living in the present and doing my practice side by side. Yes, batting a bit against the red ball and the lessons at the National Cricket Academy (now the BCCI Centre of Excellence) on how to switch from white ball to red-ball cricket are helping me a lot right now," he added.

The top-order batter remarked that his current focus was to better himself technically as time passed, to become a better version than the previous day. He is also aware of playing in the Indian Premier League, and how the latest technologies like video analysis are helping the cricketers in improving their game even before they step on to the field.

"You know that you have to make small changes in your life and I just did the same. I am trying to make small changes every day because now everyone is playing at a good level like the IPL, plus nowadays video analysis helps oppositions to plan better against you," he commented.
