I am looking forward to helping Punjab win their first title in IPL: Arshdeep Singh

Punjab Kings' (PBKS) star bowler Arshdeep Singh opened up about helping his team win the ongoing IPL 2025. PBKS will face the Mumbai Indians (MI) in Qualifier 2, to be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad on Sunday, June 1. MI performed very well in the Eliminator against the Gujarat Titans (GT), beating them by 20 runs. 

Arshdeep is a proven bowler who has been crucial for the team in the powerplays as well as in the death overs. He is one of those pacers who maintains his line and length and troubles the batters. Hence, having him around has helped PBKS win many games in the past. 

The left-handed bowler revealed his intentions ahead of Qualifier 2. PBKS lost Qualifier 1 against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) but they will surely look forward to proceeding to the finals with a win on Sunday. 

"When I get a chance, whether the team is under pressure and we have to stop runs or take wickets, when they give me the ball, I feel good that they are showing trust in me. So, I enjoy the responsibility that I get, no matter what stage it is. And at that time, I try not to feel the pressure and enjoy the moment, and bring good results for the team," said Arshdeep Singh on JioHotStar.

"And in this season, I'm looking forward to helping Punjab win their first title in IPL and create a legacy for Punjab Kings in the coming years by doing well for them," he added.

Can Punjab Kings beat Mumbai Indians in Qualifier 2?

Mumbai Indians (MI) haven't won a single game at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. It will be a tough nut to crack for Hardik Pandya and Co., even though they are in great form. If we speak about the previous records, MI have always outplayed the opponents in knockout matches. 

So, there is a high chance that they might beat PBKS and qualify for the finals. On the other hand, PBKS are a strong team with a balanced playing XI. If they utilise the match conditions properly, unlike the previous game, they have an upper edge over MI. This will be an interesting match to watch for the fans of both the franchises.
