Indian cricket fans often travel hundreds of miles to just get a glimpse of their favorite cricketers and tend to go the extra length to experience the live match. Meanwhile, this is the first-ever international match scheduled at Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur.
According to a report from The Indian Express, police officials arrested people selling tickets in the black market at Civil Lines, Pachpedi, and Thana Ganj areas and seized over 66 tickets. Police officers revealed that the accused were selling a ticket worth INR 500 for INR 1500 and an INR 1000 ticket was being sold at INR 5000 on Thursday and Friday.
New Zealand struggling at 15/5 in Raipur
After surviving a scare in the first ODI, Indian bowlers stormed back with impressive spells in the second match. Indian captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to bowl first after stumbling on his decision during the toss. Both teams remained unchanged from the first high-scoring ODI match but it is proving to be a bowlers' game in Raipur.
Mohammed Shami bowled out Finn Allen on a duck in the innings' first over to give the Indian team a flying start and then the pacers ran riot. New Zealand batters are struggling for partnerships with just 15 runs from 11 overs on the scoreboard. Shami made the biggest noise with two wickets with Hardik Pandya, Mohammed Siraj, and Shardul Thakur grabbing one wicket each.
India currently lead the three-match series 1-0 after a 12-run win in the first ODI in Hyderabad.
