Star all-rounder Yuvraj Singh was the Player of the Match when India took on Pakistan in the 2017 Champions Trophy; furthermore, Pakistan opener Fakhar Zaman was the Player of the Match in the final of the same tournament.
Moving forward, ace pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar was deemed the Player of the Match when both sides faced each other in the 2018 Asia Cup. Furthermore, opener Shikhar Dhawan was handed the Player of the Match award in the third match of the Super Four of the Asia Cup 2018.
