The Men in Blue outdid themselves by winning the second ODI at Ranchi on Sunday (October 9) evening as they leveled the series 1-1 to take the series to the final deciding game in Delhi on October 11. The final game will be intriguing as both teams would look to end the series on a high note with a series win in hand.

South Africa won the first contest by a close margin of just nine runs. After posting a target of 250 runs, they successfully managed to restrict India from chasing it down. Shreyas Iyer and Sanju Samson led India’s innings during the chase with their blistering half-century knocks, but their efforts went in vain as the visitors claimed a win.

In the second game, half-centuries by Reeza Hendricks and Aiden Markram helped South Africa post a target of 279 runs while batting first. In reply, Ishan Kishan notched up a fiery 84-ball 93 which included seven big sixes and four fours, and Shreyas Iyer amassed an unbeaten 111-ball 113 runs which took India to a comprehensive win.

After the final ODI of the three-match series, the South African side will travel to Australia to begin preparations for their T20 World Cup campaign. Thus, ending the series on a winning note would boost their confidence. On the other hand, the Indian team which is filled with young faces would look to continue the winning momentum.

Here’s a look at how the weather will behave during the IND vs SA clash:

The forecast for New Delhi indicates a temperature of 21 degrees with a 1% probability of thunderstorms and a potential cloud cover of 38%. Despite the fact that it has been raining from time to time in New Delhi for the past few days, the game is not expected to be at risk. The weather might simply improve.

Given that the sides may just choose to chase here, this will be a nice track to bat on and there may also be little dew element. The outfield is also rather rapid, and the boundaries are not particularly huge. The pitch used to help the spinners here, but during the past few years, it has changed considerably.
