India Women's U-19 T20 World Cup Schedule 2023: Date, Time, Fixtures, Squad, Venue details

Team India will kickstart their campaign as they lock horns with hosts South Africa at the Willowmoore Park in Benoni. The first edition of the Women's Under-19 T20 World Cup will be hosted by the African nation and will commence January 14 with the finals to be played on 29 January 2023.

Initially the competition was to begin in January 2021 before getting moved to December 2021 due to the Covid 19 pandemic. However, after much discussion by the individual cricketing boards and the ICC, Geoff Allardice, the CEO of the ICC confirmed that the event will take place early 2023.

With the historic first of the U19 marquee event set to commence in a few days, teams will play 41 matches in total across 15 days. The event constitutes of 16 teams which is divided into 11 full ICC members and 5 associate teams.

Adding to this, all teams have been split into four groups and will follow a single round robin format. This essentially means that the teams in the group will play each other once and the top three in each group progresses to the Super Six consisting of two groups of six teams each. Furthermore, the top two teams from each of the Super Six groups will progress to the last four and compete for the coveted title.

Team India has been in terrific form considering they obtained wins in their last three outings and will aim to clinch the first-ever U19 World Cup title.
