Gujarat Titans (GT) and Delhi Capitals (DC) were in action at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Wednesday for the 32nd match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. Rishabh Pant won the toss and chose to bowl first as David Warner didn’t start for the Delhi side.

Gujarat Titans on the other hand made three changes with David Miller and Wriddhiman Saha making their comeback to the side. Umesh Yadav was rested as Sandeep Warrier made his IPL debut for the Titans.

Powerplay: Overs 0.1 to 6 (Mandatory – 30/4)

Delhi Capitals bowlers justified their captain’s decision to bowl first. Ishant Sharma got the dangerous Shubman Gill out for 8. Mukesh Kumar then bowled Wriddhiman Saha for 2 as Sai Sudharsan was run out for 12. Ishant Sharma then got his 2nd wicket when he had David Miller caught behind by Pant for two.

Gujarat Titans: First Strategic Time-out (47/5 from 8.3 overs)

Rahul Tewatia joined Abhinav Manohar as the two added 17 runs for the 5th wicket. Tristan Stubbs bowling the 9th over was hit for a four by the right-handed Manohar. The very next ball the South African had the GT batter out stumped by Rishabh Pant.

Gujarat Titans: 50 runs from 8.5 overs

The misery for the home team didn’t end with the bat as they had lost half their side before the tenth over. Tristan Stubbs struck with two big wickets of Abhinav Manohar and Shah Rukh Khan who had come as an impact player for Sai Sudharsan.

Gujarat Titans: Second Strategic time-out (75/7 from 14 overs)

It was a totally shambolic batting display by the Titans as they struggled to get going. Delhi Capitals bowlers made full use of the excellent pitch to push the home team on the back foot.

End of the Innings: Gujarat Titans- 89/10 from 17.3 overs.

Rashid Khan was only one who decided to take the fight to the Delhi bowlers and scored 31. Mukesh Kumar ended the innings with two wickets to bowl out the Titans for their lowest team total in IPL.
