IPL 2025: Funniest Memes from MI vs PBKS Mid-Innings of Match 69
Punjab Kings require 185 runs to win Match No. 69 of the IPL 2025 against Mumbai Indians.
In Match No. 69 of the ongoing IPL 2025 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, Mumbai Indians (MI) posted a total of 184/7 in their 20 overs against Punjab Kings (PBKS), with a top-two finish on the line for the winner. Punjab skipper Shreyas Iyer won the toss and opted to bowl first.
MI's innings began on a poor note as they lost Ryan Rickelton early. However, Rohit Sharma looked in good touch, but yet again failed to convert a solid start into a big score, falling for 24 after a brilliant catch from Nehal Wadhera at long-on. Mumbai's scorecard read 52/1 after the end of six overs.
Tilak Varma’s lean patch continued as he hit one straight to third man off Vyshak Vijaykumar, falling for a four-ball one. Vyshak, playing only his third game of the season, bowled an excellent spell as he ended with figures of 2/44. Despite wickets falling from one end, Suryakumar Yadav acted as the crisis manager once again. The right-hander, who has been MI's consistent performer this season, once again impressed everyone with the bat. Scoring his 14th consecutive 25-plus score in T20s, SKY brought up his fifty in 34 balls. His 44-run partnership with Hardik Pandya helped MI get back on track.
Hardik, who has had limited opportunities to bat this season, tried to accelerate before being dismissed by Marco Jansen for 24. Naman Dhir joined Suryakumar in the middle and the duo hammered 48 runs in the last two overs. Despite Vyshak going for 23 runs in his final over, MI couldn’t breach the 190-mark, finishing at 184/7. Jansen was the pick of the bowlers for PBKS with 2/34, while Vyshak and Arshdeep Singh chipped in with crucial wickets.
