Sudharsan-Gill dominate with century stand
Gujarat Titans openers Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill did not allow the Chennai Super Kings bowlers to settle, stitching together a 125-run opening partnership off just 74 balls. Sudharsan scored 84 off 53 deliveries, smashing seven fours and four sixes at a strike rate of 158.49, while Gill hammered 64 off 37 balls, including seven fours and three sixes at a strike rate of 172.97.
Mohammed Siraj strikes early
Gujarat Titans pacer Mohammed Siraj was in sensational form as he picked up three wickets in his opening two overs. He dismissed Sanju Samson, Urvil Patel, and Ruturaj Gaikwad, not allowing the batters to settle and putting the opposition under pressure right from the outset.
Shivam Dube fights lone battle
While wickets kept tumbling at the other end, Shivam Dube showcased his explosive batting ability. The all-rounder smashed 47 runs off just 17 balls, including four fours and four sixes, at a blistering strike rate of 276.47. However, his valiant knock was not enough to help Chennai Super Kings cross the finish line.
