IPL 2026 Memes: Hilarious Reactions from CSK vs GT, Match 37 at MA Chidambaram Stadium

The Gujarat Titans (GT) handed yet another defeat to the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL), beating the hosts by eight wickets at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on Sunday, April 26. The win takes the Ahmedabad-based side up to fifth in the standings, having picked up eight points from as many games. 

Batting first, CSK took time to get their innings off and running after losing early wickets within the powerplay. They lost Sanju Samson, Urvil Patel and Impact Sub Sarfaraz Khan within the first six overs of the innings, and Dewald Brevis soon after. Captain Ruturaj Gaikwad batted throughout, scoring an unbeaten 74 off 60 balls. The five-time champions reached a respectable total of 158 from 20 overs thanks to healthy cameos from Kartik Sharma, Shivam Dube and Jamie Overton.

In reply, the 2022 champions chased down the total by losing just two wickets and with more than three overs to spare. The victory was mainly down to Sai Sudharsan’s 87 off just 46 balls, striking at 189.13. He was partnered well by Shubman Gill and Jos Buttler, who hit 33 and an unbeaten 39, respectively. 

This was a welcome win for GT in order to get their 2026 campaign back on track. Before their win over CSK, Gill’s side were on a two-match losing streak, which included a heavy loss to the Mumbai Indians on home soil.
