There is no surprise that Rohit and Nayar have been good friends since a long time. The Mumbai teammates have had a lot of conversations revolving around cricket in the past. Recently, Rohit worked alongside Nayar on his fitness ahead of his international comeback after a hiatus for several months.

Rohit has been with MI since the 2011 edition of the marquee T20 league. He has been an integral component of the joint-most successful franchise, registering a heap of runs almost every season while leading the team to five titles after taking over as full-time captain. Rohit was removed from his role ahead of the 2024 season. The baton was passed over to Indian teammate Hardik Pandya.
