The much-awaited schedule for the upcoming 2026 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has finally been announced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India. The tournament will get underway on March 28 for its nineteenth edition, with the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) entering the marquee event as the defending champions for the first time, as they clinched their maiden title in the 2025 season.
There were concerns about whether RCB would be playing their home games at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. However, the question finally has an official answer, as the Bengaluru-based franchise will be playing five home fixtures at the iconic venue. With a strong squad and a confident unit ready to take the field in the impending season, it will be interesting to see how the Rajat Patidar-led side fares in 2026.
