Vaibhav Suryavanshi gave Ubaid Shah a mouthful and subsequently slammed him for an exquisite boundary during the first innings of the India A versus Pakistan A clash in the Asia Cup Rising Stars 2025 tournament.

After Irfan Khan won the toss and opted to bowl first, the in-form Suryavanshi, coming off a blistering century against the UAE in the last game, got off to a flying start yet again at the West End Park International Cricket Stadium in Doha on Sunday, November 16.

During the third over, right-arm pacer Ubaid bowled a delivery which was not timed properly by Vaibhav. The ball went in the air and then found the cover fielder after a bounce. The bowler said something which prompted the 14-year-old to give a feisty reply.

"Ball Dalna, Ja Ball Daal (Just Bowl, Go and Bowl)," Vaibhav was heard saying on the stump mic. And in the very next delivery, the Bihar batter played a sumptuous shot over cover and held his pose as the ball reached the fence in a jiffy. The Pakistani speedster was visibly rattled by Suryavanshi's batting prowess.

India crumble after Suryavanshi, Naman Dhir's fiery knocks

Suryavanshi made a quickfire 45 off 28 balls, hitting five fours and three sixes. Meanwhile, Naman Dhir smashed 35 off 20 balls, with the help of six boundaries and one maximum. However, the rest of the Indian batters couldn't step up to the occasion.

The spin trio of Saad Masood, Sufiyan Muqeem, and Maaz Sadaqat put the brakes on the scoring in the middle overs and accounted for five wickets. The pacers also played their part, with Shahid Aziz starring with figures of 3/24 in three overs.

India A were bowled out for just 136 in 19 overs. While there seems to be some turn on the surface, the Jitesh Sharma-led side will have to bowl really well to stop Pakistan from chasing the 137-run target.
