Former English cricketer Kevin Pietersen has been left impressed with the physical transformation of Sarfaraz Khan. Sarfaraz recently shared pictures on his social media after shedding 17 kgs in the past few months.

Pietersen posted his picture with a heartwarming caption for the young wicketkeeper-batter. The former England star concluded by suggesting Prithvi Shaw to follow the same steps to regain his lost mojo with the bat.

For the unversed, Shaw has also been a constant subject of criticism for not maintaining the required fitness to compete in professional cricketer. He has lost his place in the Indian team and has had a topsy-turvy time, including being dropped from Mumbai's domestic teams and going unsold in the 2025 IPL auction.

Outstanding effort, young man! Huge congrats and I’m sure it’s going to lead to better and more consistent performances on the field. I love the time you’ve spent reorganising your priorities! LFG! 🚀 Can someone show Prithvi this please? It can be done! Strong body, strong x.com/gemsofcricket/…

Coming back to Sarfaraz, his most recent game was against England Lions ahead of the ongoing five-match series between England and India. He did not make the cut even after scoring 92 in the match. He last represented India in the red-ball format against New Zealand in the home series last year.

Notably, Sarfaraz made his Test debut against England last year. He had a good start to his international career as he struck three half-centuries in his first five Test innings. However, he has not been able to cement his place in the Test side yet.
