Khaled Ahmed signs for Kent to join Hasan Mahmud for county season run-in

Kent have confirmed the signing of Bangladesh right-arm seam bowler Khaled Ahmed for four red-ball fixtures in the county season run-in. The 33-year-old arrives at Canterbury as the second Bangladesh overseas recruit at the club this season, joining international teammate Hasan Mahmud in the Kent attack.

Khaled made his first-class debut for Sylhet in 2015 and has since taken 190 wickets across 70 first-class appearances. He entered Test cricket for Bangladesh in 2018 and has gone on to represent the national side in 18 Tests. The addition of Khaled gives Kent a proven first-class wicket-taker to complement Hasan as the county enters the decisive closing stages of the season. With the bulk of their remaining fixtures at home in Canterbury, the management now has the option to manage workloads across their frontline seamers without weakening the attack.
