NZ vs IND 2026: Schedule, squads, live streaming, broadcasters and all you need to know
The tour comprises of five T20Is and as many ODIs, followed by two Test matches.
Team India will be embarking on their tour of New Zealand, as the Men in Blue are all set to face the challenge posed by the BlackCaps for a multi-format assignment, which is set to get underway on Thursday, October 22.
Both the finalists of the 2026 T20 World Cup will start the tour with five T20Is, the first of which will be played at the Hagley Oval in Christchurch. The fifth and final one will be played on November 01.
The action will then move on to the one-day internationals (ODIs), wherein Indian superstars Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are set to stage their aura across five matches in a squad that will be led by Shubman Gill. Gill, however, will not play the fourth and fifth ODI, and thus, India will be led by Shreyas Iyer. The hosts, on the other hand, will be captained by veteran all-rounder Mitchell Santner across the white-ball series.
The team will then tune to whites to play a couple of Test matches that are a crucial part of the World Test Championship (WTC) 2025-27 cycle, with a place in the top two on the line for both sides. Gill will return to action as skipper of the Test squad. The hosts have yet to name their squad for the red-ball fixtures, set to be played in Wellington and Christchurch.
