Ahead of the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup 2025, Pakistan will host South Africa for a three-match ODI series at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium. The matches are scheduled to be played on September 16, 19, and 22, serving as the final preparations before the national team departs for Sri Lanka to contest in the tournament.

Pakistan will begin their World Cup campaign on October 2 in Colombo, playing all their league stage matches in Sri Lanka, with potential knockout matches also scheduled in Colombo. This three-match series is the only major assignment on Pakistan’s calendar leading up to the 50-over World Cup, apart from a three-match T20I series against Ireland in Dublin in early August. The ODI games against South Africa will play a big role in finalizing the playing XI and team combinations.

Following the World Cup, the Pakistan women’s team will begin preparations for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, to be held in England from June 12 to July 5. To gear up for that, the Women in Green will tour South Africa in February-March 2026 for three ODIs and three T20Is, as part of the ICC Women’s Championship 2025-29 cycle. This will be followed by a home series against Zimbabwe consisting of three ODIs and three T20Is in April-May 2026.

Ahead of the T20 World Cup in England, the team will also play a tri-nation T20I series in Ireland featuring West Indies and the hosts. Meanwhile, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is also looking at strengthening the domestic circuit and youth teams. The U19 women’s team will participate in a national T20 tournament in Karachi from September 15 to October 6. The best players from this tournament will be selected for a three-week skills development camp, followed by a five-match T20I tour to Bangladesh in December.
