Former India cricketer Aakash Chopra wants to see Gujarat Titans (GT) bowler Prasidh Krishna to be part of India's squad for the tour of England for the upcoming Test series in June after a stellar run of form in the ongoing IPL 2025. Krishna has been superbly impressive, maintaining correct line and lengths. He wasn't very impressive in the first match, but as the tournament progressed, he became one of the most dependable bowlers for the Shubman Gill-led side.

With a staggering 19 wickets in 10 games so far, Prasidh Krishna also is the highest wicket-taker in the season currently. The IPL 2025 Purple Cap is going back and forth from him to Josh Hazlewood, as both the pacers have shown good performances in the tournament so far. They are the main reason why GT and the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are in the second and third positions in the points table.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Chopra felt that Krishna should get a chance to showcase his talent in the UK as well since the conditions will also be favourable for the Karnataka's tall and lanky speedster. He has been doing well with the variations, picking up wickets at crucial intervals, and the ex-India batter feels it is about time the bowler earns his Test call-up once again.

"They change their pace slightly, but the slower one is not very good. They don't rely too much on yorkers and bowl sharp bouncers. It was a god-like performance. I feel you should take him to England. If he remains in such form, he should be on the flight to England, and I really hope he is," said Aakash Chopra.

Even in the previous match against the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), Krishna picked up two crucial wickets of Travis Head and Heinrich Klaasen and brought the team back into the game. GT won the match by 38 runs and are just a step away from qualifying for the playoffs.

Everyone is chipping in: Shubman Gill

Captain Gill is ecstatic with the way GT have been playing this season. Most of the players have contributed to the team's win across departments, which is why they are in the second position with seven wins in ten matches. They are looking like a strong contender this season who have their eyes on the IPL title. While having a conversation during the post-match presentation, Gill also shed light on the team's fielding performance and how it improved in the match against SRH.

"The fielding was one thing we talk about before every game, we have been average so far, but happy with the way we fielded today. Everyone is chipping in, it is always nice to have options when you are defending on these grounds," he said at the post-match presentation.
