Renshaw, Hazlewood rise in ICC Test rankings; Iyer reaches career-high fourth in T20Is
Matthew Renshaw's 190 in Durban and Josh Hazlewood's 6/49 push Australia's ranking gains, while Shreyas Iyer's maiden T20I century lifts him to fourth.
The ICC has released updated player rankings following a busy stretch of international cricket, with Australia's Matthew Renshaw and Josh Hazlewood among the biggest movers in the Test batting and bowling charts. India's Shreyas Iyer, meanwhile, has scaled a personal milestone in the T20I batting rankings off the back of a dominant display in Lucknow.
Renshaw's first innings of 190 at Durban, combined with a second innings contribution of 82, was the standout batting performance of the Australia versus South Africa Test. Those scores propelled the left-hander from well outside the top 100 all the way to joint 49th in the ICC Men's Test batting rankings, as confirmed on the ICC website. Marnus Labuschagne also moved upward, advancing four places to 34th. On the South Africa side, opener Aiden Markram gained four positions to settle at joint 10th, while Anrich Nortje re-entered the Test bowling rankings at 34th, marking his first red-ball outing in over three years.
Hazlewood's haul of 6/49 on the final day in Durban represented the best bowling figures of his Test career. That performance moved him up two spots to seventh among Test bowlers globally. Mitchell Starc continues to lead the list of Test bowlers. Hazlewood's effort was central to Australia sealing the result, and his ranking reward reflects that impact.
Which other players moved in the Test rankings after Durban and Abu Dhabi?
In the all-rounder standings, Ravindra Jadeja retains top spot in the ICC Men's Test rankings for that category. South Africa's Wiaan Mulder climbed one place to fourth, and Simon Harmer gained five positions to reach joint 23rd.
A separate Test in Abu Dhabi between Afghanistan and Bangladesh, which concluded as a draw, generated its own set of ranking shifts. Rahmat Shah was the biggest mover among batters, jumping 13 places to 13th in the batting rankings. Bangladesh's Litton Das rose three spots to joint 29th. In the bowling chart, Hasan Mahmud advanced seven places to 38th after claiming a hat-trick and finishing with five wickets across the match, underlining his value as a pace option for Bangladesh in red-ball cricket.

How did Iyer reach fourth in T20I rankings and where do India stand in the top four?
Shreyas Iyer's maiden T20I century, scored in the opening match of India's five-game home series against the West Indies at Lucknow, propelled him to a career-best fourth place in the ICC Men's T20I batting rankings. The century lifted him three positions in the chart, capping a strong individual performance in the series opener.
Iyer's arrival in the top four means India now occupy three of those spots. Ishan Kishan leads the T20I batting rankings, with Abhishek Sharma placed second. Pakistan captain Sahibzada Farhan holds third position after posting a career-best rating during his side's series against Sri Lanka. Iyer's fourth-place finish completes a strong showing for Indian batters across the format.
