The ongoing ODI World Cup 2023 will see the last league game between India and the Netherlands at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore on Sunday, November 12. The Indian team will be coming into the game on the back of a brilliant eight-match winning streak.

As the game approaches, several pundits have come forward to analyse the side’s upcoming clash against the Netherlands and former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra opined that taking on the Men in Blue could prove to be an arduous task for the Scott Edwards-led side.

“It's true that you shouldn't take anyone lightly, but at this point in time, there is a huge difference between India and the Netherlands. No disrespect to the Netherlands; they have played extremely well, but they have a mountain taller than Mount Everest in front of them, which they might not be able to scale,” Chopra said in a video on his YouTube channel.

Furthermore, Chopra also heaped massive praise on Indian skipper Rohit Sharma. Backing him to score his century, Chopra stated that the Indian team could dominate with the bat against the Netherlands.

“Since the match is in Bengaluru, you will expect a lot of runs. I feel there should be an opening partnership of 150–175 runs. Rohit Sharma's missing century should be scored, and it should be a big one. When Shubman Gill sees a flat pitch, he makes the most of it. I feel India will dominate with the bat,” Aakash Chopra said.

It is worth noting that India became the first team to qualify for the knockout stages of the ODI World Cup 2023. Currently sitting in first place in the standings, the side will be going up against New Zealand in the first semi-final of the tournament at the Wankede Stadium in Mumbai on November 15.
