Stuart Broad bid farewell to cricket after playing in the fifth Ashes Test at the Kennington Oval in London. Immediately after the assignment, Broad joined the commentary team for the Hundred and he has been doing an excellent job in enlightening the cricket lovers with his words of wisdom.

The right-arm pacer, who has been a critical member of Nottinghamshire Outlaws over the years, expressed his admiration for Shaheen Afridi during an interview with the Pakistani bowler. It is interesting to note that, Shaheen represented the Outlaws during the T20 Blast earlier this year.

The left-arm seamer, who made his Hundred debut playing for Welsh Fire, received massive praise from Broad. The former England bowler revealed that Shaheen is one of his favourite bowlers and someone who has 'natural skill'.

“Shaheen Shah Afridi is one of my favourite bowlers to watch in the world. He has got such a great presence about him when he runs in, and I love bowlers run in with energy and vibrancy to their run up,” Broad was quoted as saying to Sky Sports.

“He has got such a natural skill – the way that ball swings back into the right-handers is such a pleasure to watch. And he represented the Notts Outlaws this summer, which is close to my heart. He’s one of the bowlers I admire hugely, and I want to see him do well," he added.

Shaheen Afridi's impressive start to the Hundred

The talented Shaheen Afridi got off to a phenomenal start in the Hundred as he picked up two wickets off his first two balls in the competition against Manchester Originals in the second game of the eight-team tournament. The 23-year-old followed it up with another memorable outing against Southern Brave as he ended with figures of 1/16 in the 20 balls he bowled.

Shaheen's next international assignment is the Asia Cup which begins on August 30 with Babar Azam's men taking on debutants Nepal.
