Navjot Singh Sidhu turned 62 years old on Monday, October 20. On the auspicious occasion, Irfan Pathan wished the former India opener on social media. Sidhu replied to the message by praising Pathan as a human being as well as his commentary skills.

Sidhu and Pathan have entertained cricket enthusiasts with their commentary skills over the years. They have been involved in controversies and have had their naysayers. However, no one has been able to deter their spirits, as they are committed to doing what they do best and that is not just giving fans in-depth analysis of the game but entertaining them with witty remarks as well.

"Subah Jalandhar sham ko Delhi Nahi. Shamko mere Ghar pe apka birthday sath me. @sherryontopp Paaji wishing you the best birthday. Have a great one," Pathan wrote on 'X' (formerly Twitter).

"Zaroor Irfan , tum no 1 commentator ho aur no 1 insaan ho [Sure Irfan, you are No. 1 commentator and No. 1 human being] …. Your wishes are my armour … truckloads of love," Sidhu replied.

"Apka pyaar hamesha bana rahe [May your love always be bestowed upon me]" Pathan ended the coversation.

Sidhu played 51 Tests and 156 ODIs for India between 1983 and 1999. He finished with 3202 and 4413 runs, respectively, across the two formats. They might have played in differenet eras but they have formed great camaraderie during their commentary stints in the Indian Premier League as well as in international cricket.
