Virat Kohli not only played a fantastic knock in the third ODI against Australia at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Saturday, October 25, but also won the hearts of fans with his gesture after the match.

After having lost the three-match series against Australia, following losses in the first two ODIs, the Men in Blue picked up a comprehensive win on Saturday to salvage pride and avoid a whitewash. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli starred with the bat after Harshit Rana bagged a four-for in the first innings.

Chasing a 237-run target, Kohli and Rohit's unbeaten 168-run partnership off 169 balls helped India romp home in just 38.3 overs. While Kohli remained unbeaten on 74 off 81 balls, Rohit finished on 121 not out off 125 deliveries.

It was an important match for Kohli as he registered ducks in the first two games of the series. However, he used his experience and guided India to a memorable win, forging a sensational partnership with Rohit after Shubman Gill was dismissed for a 26-ball 24.

After taking India home with a brilliant display of batting, Kohli and Rohit were walking back to the dressing room. Kohli, who was walking in front of Rohit, saw an Indian flag lying on the ground. He picked it up quickly and handed it to a fan. This gesture has won the hearts of fans on social media.
