Kyle Jamieson trapped Rajat Patidar dead in front during the IPL 2025 final between Punjab Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Patidar had to walk back to the shed after registering 26 off 16.

It was a change-of-pace delivery by the Kiwi pacer which did the trick. The ball dipped slightly on Patidar, who shuffled across in a bid to work the ball on the on-side but missed it. The RCB skipper did not bother reviewing as he was struck right in the line of stumps.

Patidar was Jamieson's second wicket Earlier in the game, he had dismissed Phil Salt (16 off nine) on the fourth ball of his first over as Shreyas Iyer snapped a smart catch while back-pedalling from mid-on. Earlier, PBKS won the toss and opted to field first. Both the sides went with an unchanged XI from their previous games.

RCB got to the summit clash of the 18th edition of the IPL after thumping the Iyer-led side by a resounding eight-wicket margin with 60 deliveries to spare in Qualifier 1. On the other hand, PBKS got here by defeating Mumbai Indians by five wickets in Qualifier 2.

As far as the league phase is concerned, both sides ended up with 19 points under their belt. PBKS clinched first position due to a superior net run rate than their opposition (+0.372 vs +0.301). Both sides won nine, lost four, and had one game end up as a no-result due to inclement weather. The ongoing contest is PBKS and RCB's first final in the T20 league since 2016 and 2014, respectively.
