An old video of legendary Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni addressing troops at the Line of Control (LoC) has resurfaced.
As the Indian Armed Forces executed Operation Sindoor, a precise retaliation strike to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, an old video of legendary Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni addressing troops at the Line of Control (LoC) has resurfaced, speaking about national pride and the bond with the armed forces.
Meanwhile, the Operation Sindoor was executed at the early hours of May 7, 2025. Indian forces targeted nine terror infrastructure sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu & Kashmir (PoJK). These strikes came as a direct response to the brutal Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 civilians on April 22.
The operation, overseen closely by the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, was based on intelligence inputs linking the sites to dismantle terror outfits. Colonel Sofiya Qureshi clarified that no Pakistani military targets were hit, stressing the precision of the mission. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri pointed out that the Pahalgam probe had exposed clear links to Pakistan-based terror groups.
Interestingly, a video of MS Dhoni addressing Indian troops at the LoC resurfaced and has gone viral after the operation. In the clip, Dhoni, wearing the uniform of the Territorial Army, stated about national pride when asked about the intent behind his presence on the border.
"What we want is non-violence, but at the end of the day, we are here to protect the interests of our country, we are up and ready for this, we don't want any violence, but we are ready,” he said.
Notably, the Ranchi-born has been awarded the honorary rank of Lieutenant Colonel in 2011. In 2015, he completed the parachute training course in Agra, qualifying as a paratrooper. While Dhoni has been busy on the cricket field and has been one of the most successful captains of India, but has always shown his commitment to the armed forces.
