"Wishing the women’s team all the very best for the World Cup final. Just enjoy the occasion, be yourself," current head coach of the Indian men's team, Gautam Gambhir, said.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared a video with Indian men's team head coach Gautam Gambhir, T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav, and talismanic pacer Jasprit Bumrah, sending words of encouragement to Harmanpreet Kaur and Co. as they prepare to face South Africa in the Women's World Cup 2025 final on Sunday, November 2, at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai.
Gambhir and Co. are currently in Australia, playing a five-match T20I series against Mitchell Marsh's men. In fact, the two teams are set to face each other in the third T20I on Sunday. However, the Men in Blue took time out to record heartwarming messages for their counterparts.
Gambhir urged the Indian women's team to enjoy the occasion and be fearless. He asked them not to be afraid of making mistakes.
“On behalf of the entire support staff and the Indian team, I want to wish the women’s team all the very best. Enjoy the occasion, be fearless. Don’t be afraid of making a mistake. You’ve already made the entire country proud," Gambhir said.
Meanwhile, Suryakumar said that Harmanpreet's women have had an amazing campaign so far and wished them luck for the summit clash.
“Wishing the women’s team all the very best for the World Cup final. Just enjoy the occasion, be yourself. I think you have had an amazing campaign till now,” Suryakumar stated.

On the other hand, Bumrah advised the team not to change what has brought them success so far in the competition.
“Just enjoy the occasion. You don’t get to play a lot of World Cup finals. You don’t need to do anything different; you are playing really well. Just back yourself and enjoy the moment. Give your best and everything else will take care of itself,” Bumrah said.
