'Well done Zinta, Congratulations Zinta' - Salman Khan praises PBKS co-owner for team's impressive run in IPL 2026
PBKS are unbeaten after four games in IPL 2026.
Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has sent Punjab Kings (PBKS) fans into a frenzy by specially appreciating their performance in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 thus far.
Notably, PBKS have already won three games in the tournament so far, beating strong sides like Chennai Super Kings, Gujarat Titans and Sunrisers Hyderabad. They are currently placed second on the IPL 2026 points table, only below Rajasthan Royals, who are the top with four wins in as many games. Salman has been left impressed by this performance by the Preity Zinta-co-owned franchise, taking a note of the same.
"Well done Zinta, Congratulations Zinta, Team is playing well …. @realpreityzinta," Salman wrote in his post on 'X' (formerly known as Twitter).

For the unversed, this is not the first time that Salman has praised the Punjab-based franchise. Back in 2014, Salman had asked the netizens if Kings XI Punjab (now renamed to Punjab Kings) had won the final against Kolkata Knight Riders that year. The tweet has a vivid remembrance from cricket fans, and the post, which is almost twelve years old, still keeps resurfacing on the internet.

Speaking more of the Shreyas Iyer-led side has been on a rampant run in the tournament, being only the second side after RR who are unbeaten. In four matches, Punjab have won three games, and a rain-affected game against KKR at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata, led to them sharing points with the three-time champions, currently languishing at the bottom of the table.
Skipper Iyer has also been the best batter for the side with 137 runs from three innings. Speaking of their bowlers, pacers Vijaykumar Vyshak (five wickets) and Xavier Bartlett (four wickets) have been impressive, with Yuzvendra Chahal also making handy contributions with the ball in his hands.
