Why are David Warner and Umesh Yadav not playing IPL 2024 Match 32 between GT vs DC?
Delhi Capitals made one change in their team while GT made three changes.
Gujarat Titans (GT) will take on Delhi Capitals (DC) in Match 32 of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2024) at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. Delhi captain Rishabh Pant won the toss and invited Gujarat to bat first. Coming into the game on the back of a six-wicket win over Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), DC were forced to make a change in their playing XI as their opener David Warner missed out due to an injury.
The southpaw hasn’t had a memorable season so far with 166 runs to his name from six innings at an average of 27.66 and a strike rate of 138.33 with one half-century to his name. The DC team management brought in all-rounder Sumit Kumar to replace Warner.
On the other hand, Gujarat made three changes to their playing XI as star players Wriddhiman Saha and David Miller marked their return to the side. Saha had missed the last two fixtures due to a back spasm while Miller was sidelined from the last three games due to a sore hamstring.
To make way for Miller, GT had to bench Matthew Wade who scored just four runs in his only outing of the season so far in the last fixture. They further benched all-rounder Vijay Shankar who’s had a quiet season so far to bring back Saha. Furthermore, Gujarat also benched their star speedster Umesh Yadav and brought in Sandeep Warrier in his place who will be playing his first game of the season.
Yadav has picked seven wickets in the season so far from six innings at an average of 27.14 and an economy of 10.55.
