WI vs PAK 2025: Pakistan announce white-ball squads for West Indies tour, veterans return for T20Is after debacle in Bangladesh

Pakistan are set to play three T20Is and as many ODIs against the West Indies in the Caribbean in August. The T20Is are set to be played at the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground in Lauderhill, Florida. Meanwhile, the ODIs will be held at Brian Lara Stadium in Tarouba, Trinidad.

Pakistan sent a relatively inexperienced team to Bangladesh this month to play a three-match T20I series. However, the youngsters failed to deliver on their promise as Pakistan lost 1-2. Against the West Indies, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has gone back to experience, recalling the likes of Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf and Hasan Ali.

Faheem Ashraf, who impressed in the last couple of T20Is against Bangladesh, holds on to his spot. However, Salman Mirza, who bagged seven wickets in three games at an average of 8.57 and finished as the highest wicket-taker, has surprisingly been left out.

Meanwhile, Mohammad Rizwan is set to lead the side in the ODIs, while T20I skipper Salman Ali Agha will be his deputy. The experienced Haris Rauf has only been named in the T20I side and not in the one for the ODIs. The talismanic Babar Azam will be seen in action during the 50-over matches.
